Yahweh | YHWH

His personal, covenantal name, יהוה, consist of four Hebrew letters, Yod, Hey, Waw, Hey, and which is frequently referred to as 'The Tetragrammaton.' These letters are transliterated into English characters by use of the four letter, YHWH (Exodus 3:14). Yahweh is a human vocalization of The Tetragrammaton. YAH is a short form of the Yahweh (Psalms 68:4)

We prefer Ělohim instead of "God" (Genesis 1:1; Mark 15:34).

Yahshua Mashiach

We prefer to call Him by the Hebrew name He was born with, (יהושע) Yahshua (YAH-shoo-ah), instead of "Jesus." We prefer Mashiach instead of "Christ." Taken together, Yahshua HaMashiach (YAh-SHOO-ah Ha-Mah-SHEE-akh) is Hebrew for "Jesus the Messiah/Christ."

He shall also be called by the name Immanu’ĕl, which means “Ělohim with us.”

(Matthew 1:16, 21, 23; Isaiah 7:14)

Reading Torah in the Bible and Scripture

The Scriptures

We believe that the all Scriptures, or the 'Bible,' is YHWH's revelation to humanity, inspired and written Word of YHWH breathed by the Ruach Ha-Kodesh, beneficial for teaching, reproof, correction, and instruction in righteousness (2 Timothy 3:16-17). And we further believe, YHWH's Word, His revelation, is also His presence, that became a living body that resided among humankind (John 1:14). We believe the Scriptures comprise the TaNaK, or Tanakh, ('Old Testament') and Second Writings ('New Covenant' or 'New Testament').

We further believe that there are books of the Scriptures that are YHWH's revelation, inspiration and written Word that have not been included in the "canonized" version of the Scriptures we have today (Numbers 21:14; 1 Kings 11:41, 14:29, 16:5; 1 Chronicles 29:29; 1 Corinthians 5:9; 2 Corinthians 2:3-4).

Torah (Law) and Prophets

Torah (Law) and Prophets

We believe that the Torah has not been abolished and therefore is still relevant today and must be obeyed (Matthew 5:17-20; Romans 3:31). The Torah, we believe, was our trainer, our tutor, to lead us to Messiah in order to be declared right by faith (Galatians 3:24). So the Torah taught us our need for Mashiach and led us to Him to be justified by grace through faith.

Following God's Commandments

Commandments

We are believers and followers of YHWH's commands (Deuteronomy 30:14-17; John 14:21). We believe that YHWH's commands are found in both Testaments, Old and New, and includes all the 10 Commandments (Exodus 20:2-17) and all His commands which He commanded us to do (Deuteronomy 30:8; Matthew 28:20; John 13:34-35; 1 John 2:3-6).

Ruach Ha-Kodesh

We believe that the Ruach Ha-Kodesh is the Set-apart ("Holy") Spirit of and from YHWH (1 Samuel; 1 Corinthians 2:12). We believe that the Ruach Ha-Kodesh is YHWH's Spirit that was put upon Yahshua (Matthew 12:18; Luke 2:27). We believe that people receive this same Set-apart Spirit by grace through faith in Yahshua (John 14:16-17, 26).

Grace through Sin, Repentance and Forgiveness

Sin, Repentance and Forgiveness

We believe all mankind has sinned and fallen short of the glory of Ělohim (Romans 3:23). We further believe that by the blood that Yahshua shed through His death, when a person repents, their sins are forgiven by grace (Isaiah 55:6-7; Ephesians 1:7).

Everlasting Life (Salvation) through Jesus

Everlasting Life (Salvation)

We believe that there is not Jew nor Greek ("Gentile"), we are both one. Those who repent are justified by grace through faith in Yahshua as the Messiah, unto good works. All His people are one in Him, heirs according to the promise to be children of the Most High and recipients of every spiritual blessing, eternal life in the New Kingdom. (Galatians 3:8, 16, 21-29; Matthew 4:17; Romans 2:29; 8:16-17, 9:8-9, 16, 18; Revelation 22:14; Ephesians 1:3-4, 11, 2:8-10, 14; 1 Corinthians 15:23-23, 50-53)

baptism through water immersion

Baptism

We believe that baptism through water immersion is for those who believe the Son of Ělohim to be Yahshua the Messiah (Acts 8:36-38). We believe that Saints are baptized into the body of Yahshua by the Ruach Ha-Kodesh (1 Corinthians 12:13).

Sabbath

We believe that the seventh day is the Sabbath of YHWH our Ělohim (Exodus 20:8; Leviticus 19:30).

Feast Days

We believe in YHWH's command to observe His seven annual Feast Days, also known as Holy Days, Appointed Times, Appointed Feasts, or Festivals of Ělohim (Leviticus 23:1-44).

The seven Appointed Feasts that we observe as commanded by scripture are:

  • Passover
  • Feast of Unleavened Bread
  • Feast of Pentecost (also known as The Feast of First Fruits)
  • Feast of Trumpets
  • Day of Atonement
  • Feast of Tabernacles
  • Eighth Day

(Leviticus 23; Exodus 23:14-17; Zechariah 14:16-21; Luke 2:41-42, 22:14-15; John 7:2, 8, 10, 14; Acts 2:1, 12:3, 18:21, 20:6, 16; 1 Corinthians 5:8, 16:8)
